These are Symbol branded scanners and do not have the Motorola brand on them because they were made before Motorola bought Symbol. This hand held scanner is great for many applications, including warehouse shipping and receiving, asset tracking, inventory management, route management, legal file documentation, and healthcare documentation.
This durable PPT8860 is part of the 8800 family and includes bluetooth so you can easily integrate a printer to the unit or share information between units. Rental agencies have used these bluetooth units to provide receipts on the fly. Route managers have also used these to provide a printout of the days order to the customer.
This unit is a proven work horse by Symbol and will stand up to the most demanding applications. The expanded memory on this PPT8860-R3BZ1000 allows for expanded batch applications for inventories well over 5,000 stock keeping units (SKU’s) where most of the basic units can only maintain a memory up to 5,000 SKU’s.
