3D Printing is making all sorts of people into entrepreneurs as they use the additive manufacturing technique to create useful products. The most unusual of these new business tycoons is young Max Ash, who suffers from dyslexia that has not inhibited his creativity. When he was eight years old, he created a ceramic cup in art class that had a basketball hoop attached to it, according to WWW.3Ders.com. The idea is that you can launch marshmallows through the hoop and into the hot chocolate in the mug.3d Printing a mug

His parents noted that a business potential existed in the mug with a hoop. They turned to a local company to print out the mug. Max then took his model to the Product Pitch at Fenway contest in Boston. He was the only child to be in the top ten, largely because he had a finished product already in hand as opposed to a concept.

Now at age 11, Max is a sports-themed mug tycoon, having sold 18,000 units worldwide, being carried by such retail outlets such as Uncommon Goods, Nordstrom and even the Basketball Hall of Fame. Max has added to his product line with The Mug With A Glove, The Mug With A Goalpost, The Soccer Mug With A Goal, as well as other products.3d printer makes mug

The bottom line is that Max’s experience is the perfect example of how a new technology has met creativity and a drive to succeed to make a young boy with dyslexia a business success before the onset of puberty.
